Yet no official release date to the Wrath of the leach king. Some people speculate September 2008 but that's just unqualified guesses. The expectations are high and Blizzard always delivers quality, so even if I would like to play it NOOW, I guess it's better they release a expension that gives the players enough new and fresh content than rush it out.

According to Jeff "Tigole" Kaplan of Blizzard, Northrend will feature a cool enormous PvP zone, the size of Westfall. The zone will be all-PVP and not for PVE players with lots of quest objectives, siege weapons and destructible buildings.
Sounds like great fun and I can't wait to be a part of it.
Further Jeff Kaplan also promises players a epic feeling upon entering Northrend, even more grandious than in Burning crusade.
In his own words:
"We absolutely need to make the entry to Northrend epic", he said. "...we originally had the entry to Burning Crusade's Dark Portal as a bunch of cohorts waling around, and people reacted badly. This really hammered home the fact that we needed to raise expectations on entering the expansions".
