Tired of spending months leveling your character to get to the endgame content?

I certainly was. Bored of my L80 Mage I wanted to start all over again, this time with a horde Warrior, but just the thought of how much time it would take made me hesitate. So I started to look for good guides worth the money. Spending a large amount of money on powerlevling or buying a char on e-bay just don't appeal to me.
I wanted to get there by myself to a fair price.

I've leveled up a couple of chars since then and tried out quite a lot of guides. I found out that most of them are crappy grinding guides or just filled with loads of outdated information.

On this site I give you my oppinion of the best guides I found on the internet. WoW guides that actually work and will ease your life as a World of Warcraft player.

Wrath of The Lich King News

Blizzard continues to deliver great improvments to the World of Warcraft. The much anticipated WotLK Patch 3.0.8 is finaly live on the servers. It really brings a great deal of change and below we list of some the signigicant changes made.

• Roll a DK Anywhere - With the release of 3.0.8 players will be able to roll Death Knights on any realm as long as they have a level 55 somewhere. This is a welcome change for many players on higher population realms that opens the option to go to other realms and start their DK’s. Many of the old restrictions still apply but we are happy to see this one be a thing of the past.
• New Graveyards - More than 60 new graveyards have been added to Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. This will sure make it less of a haul to get back to your corpse should you die in areas affected by this.
• Death Knight Boost - Death knights will notice a boost in the effects of their Blood Aura and Blood Presence abilities as they are returning them to their beta state. This will double the healing effects of these spells.
• Reputation Rewards - A change has been implemented so that killing mobs required for gaining reputation with a particular faction will yield the same amount of rep. regardless of your character’s level. I have to say I think this change is pretty sweet and I am excited about it for the alt I just started…I may even return to Outland to finish up some rep. grinds on my main.
• Swimming Druids - A Druid’s aquatic form is now available from the Druid Trainer at level 16. This comes as quite a relief to anyone running up another druid who has had to run the quest in the past. I did it once and it was a royal pain! The line of quests will still be available, but they are no longer a prerequisite to obtaining aquatic form.
• More Talented Shaman - With this patch Shaman will see the arrival of a new talent called “Shamanism”. This is available on the elemental tree and causes your lightning bolt and lava burst spells to gain additional bonus damage effects.
• Feral Druid Weapons - All weapons will now have the potential to grant feral attack power based on their dps which means many new weapons will now be options for the feral druid. All druids will be able to see the feral attack power an item will grant them, but other player classes will not see this information. Since polearms can now also be trained by druids, this will open many doors for this class and broaden their weapon capabilities considerably.
• New Paladin Ability - Paladins are getting some love here too. With 3.0.8 they now have an ability called “Hand of Reckoning” which will be available from their class trainer at level 16 and will enable them to taunt an enemy from up to 30 yards and also cause holy damage to the targeted foe.
• “Yummy” New Food and Drink - A new recipe for “Worg Tartare” is now available for purchase with Dalaran Cooking Awards. This food will give it’s consumer a hit rating and stamina bonus. If you’re looking for something to wash it down with, try the new recipe called “Kungaloosh” which is available from the Washed up Mage in the sewers of Dalaran once a cook has completed the quest “The Taste Test” in Scholozar Basin this is a mana restoration drink that will also get you tipsy.
• Hunter Nerfs - Sadly, today is the day Hunters have been dreading. With this patch two of the main attacks most hunters use are getting seriously nerfed. Steady shot will go from rewarding 20% attack power as damage to rewarding only 10%. Volley is also taking a hit in the form of a 30% reduction in damage across the board for all levels of the ability.
• Cool Spells Now Shareable - Mages will now be able to cast Slowfall on other players and Priests will be able to share Levitate with others.
• Wild Growth - This is a favorite spell of any good Druid healer. With this patch they decided to plague this ability with a 6 second cooldown. This will likely impact raid healing for Druids, it will be interesting to see how much of an impact it has.
• Enchanting - There is now a new enchanting recipe available for purchase from Vanessa Sellers in Dalaran. The recipe is for a plus to stamina on bracers.
These are just some of the great news in the patch. To see the complete patch note, visit Blizzards official site.

Northrend - The Setting For Wotlk

Yes, Northrend is the setting for Wrath of The Lich King (the latest expansion).
Northrend has a similar size compared to the previous setting in The Burning Crusade. There are 10 zones being highlighted in Northrend with one zone combined with Borean Tundra. A few of these zones are much bigger than the others as well as the zones in The Burning Crusade.
The story begins here.

The zones in Northrend:
Howling Fjord (68 – 72) : this is where you will probably start off
Borean Tundra (68 – 72) : this is also probably where you will start off
Dragonblight (71 – 74)
Grizzly Hills (73 – 75)
Zul’Drak (74 – 77)
Sholazar Basin (76 – 78)
The Storm Peaks (76 – 80)
Crystalsong Forest (77 – 80)
Icecrown (77 – 80)
Wintergrasp (Outdoor PvP)
Coldarra (Shares the same map as Borean Tundra, but is marked with the larger font designating it as a separate region).

The dungeons available are:
Utgarde Keep
Azjol-Nerub
Ahn’kahet
Ulduar
Naxxramas II
The Nexus
Icecrown Citadel
Drak’Tharon Keep
Chamber of Aspects
The Violet Hold

Now, there are many native species in Northrend. Among those that you need to pay attention would be Northrend giants, Storm giants, Mammoths, Walruses and others.

Quest Helper for Wotlk

Quest Helping addons is really useful when speed leveling in WoW, however some people think they spoil the fun of the game. This because in the eagerness of leveling, people don’t even read the storyline just quickly accept the quest and off and away following the arrow to the next location.

Sure I like to level fast and recommend using quest helpers, just don’t use them to the extent that the joy of the game itself becomes a second priority.

There are several free WotLK quest helping addons in development, but be careful where you download them because several has reported to contain trojans or account stealing functions. One good example of free wotlk quest helper is Rasters Wotlk Quest Mod.

However, if you want to be 100% sure to get a professional developed, tested and trojan free Wotlk Quest helper that works for the latest patch 3.0.8, I recommend taking a look at Zygors Guides. I’ve personally tried quite a few of these in-game quest helpers and I must tell you that Zygor offer the most stable and easy to use experience for people in need of ultra high speed leveling.

Just remember to enjoy the wotlk storyline and don’t stare yourself blind on the leveling urge.
Take a look at Zygors Guides Today!

How To Get To Dalaran

The modern magical city-state of Dalaran, constructed from the ruins of the old demolished city by Lord Garithos and a companion of powerful wizards called the Kirin Tor. Their beloved city was quickly rebuilt and encased it in a bubble that distorts time and space to make it impenetrable to any further attack.

With the threat of the insane Malygos and the Blue Dragonflight looming, the Kirin Tor under the leadership of Rhonin have hastily used tremendous magical power to transport Dalaran to levitate just north of the Dragonblight, in Crystalsong Forest. Deciding to put aside their differences with the Horde with persuasion from Jaina, the works of Antonidas on the orcs and relations with the reformed Blood (High) Elves, Dalaran will serve as a major stronghold for assaults on the Nexus and even Icecrown itself.

As many people are asking how to get to this magical city, we’ll summarize the steps listed in WOW wiki:
_
There are several ways to get to Dalaran:

Mages need to talk to the human archmage Modera or bloodelf Aerteas in Dragonblight and pick up the quest [73] Attunement to Dalaran in order to learn the Dalaran teleportation spell available at level 71.

Mages can learn a portal to Dalaran at 74 from the portal trainer. This allows anyone to get to Dalaran.

Anyone who is at least level 74 can complete [74] The Magical Kingdom of Dalaran from either Magister Dath’omere at Valiance Keep, Borean Tundra, Image of Archmage Aethas Sunreaverω τ α at Agmar’s Hammer, Dragonblight or Image of Archmage Modera at Stars’ Rest, Dragonblight. Compleation of this quest will grant a one time portal to Dalaran.

Once in Dalaran (via the quest at 74 or via a Mage portal or a Warlock summon), [74] Learning to Leave and Return: the Magical Way can be obtained (provided you’re at least level 70?) which “attunes” you to Dalaran, and you can return any time via the Teleport to Dalaran Crystal from Crystalsong Forest.

Someone already in Dalaran can group-invite you for PvP at the city’s Battlemasters. After you leave the battleground you will spawn in the floating city. However, the inviting player has to be of the same level range for the specific battleground pool as you, or you won’t get the group-invite.
_
Ok. You got in, but how do you get out?

You can use the flight path located on Krasus’ Landing

You can launch your own flying mount from Krasus’ Landing (you cannot fly elsewhere in the city, if you try and fly over the city, you are warned, and then are dismounted, you float to safety with a parachute)

You can use one of the portals to major cities, or the portal to the Caverns of Time (located in The Violet Citadel)

You can exit through a sewer pipe - there’s a long drop - so launch out using your flying mount (although someone did say a parachute would open before you hit the ground - I tested this and think I chickened out and pressed my druid flight form just as the parachute was appearing - it left it a bit late

New Cool WoW Instance leveling Guide

Hope you are having great progress in the World of Warcraft!!

Patch 2.4 opened up a lot of opportunities to see cool new content they, and people are continuing the gear-up for the awaited Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

As guilds are going through the more high level instances there's always good to have the latest and greatest tactics. And ofcourse reading some kind of tactics is always required before entering places like Mount Hyal and Black Temple.

I recently stumbled on a great guide that really offers a lot more content than the regular online ones. Not only does it include raids, but also all regular and heroic 5-man instances.

Here's some of the features of Spurgnot's Instance Guide:

  • Fully Detailed Boss Abilities, including how to counter them during the fight.

  • Group compositions that will greatly increase your raids chances of downing new bosses.

  • Phase-by-Phase and Step-by-Step instructions for every player in the raid to execute every fight to perfection.

  • Over 220 pages packed full of easy to follow content.

  • Embedded videos of boss fights right in the guide, with how-to instructions!

  • Complete loot tables, with Tooltip Popups.

  • Strategies for the casual players to the most hardcore raiders!

  • Includes instances like Sunwell Plateu, Black Temple, Mount Hyal, SCC and many many more!
The guide is written by some really hardcore gamers that have gone through these raids more than a couple of times. A cool part of the guide is for example where they show how to clear Karazan in under 3 hours.

I recommend any guildmember that's trying to get through the end-game instances to check it out. However, it's even a great grinding guide for low-lewel dungeons that you can use with your alts.

I think they have a limited indroductory price so take a look while it's still cheap:

Brian Kopp Releases Brand NEW Ingame Leveling Mod

For long Brian Kopp ruled the Alliance WoW Leveling Guide scene but lately there's been some great upcommers like fantastic Team Idemise's alliance leveling guide.

Now Brian answers the fierce competition with his own in game 1-70 leveling mod. His entire high quality leveling guide 100% implemented in a easy to use interface.

Here are some of the features it's going to have:

  • 100% of the guide now viewable in WoW in a resizable window with controllable transparency. 2 steps will be shown so you can see what will be coming next to prepare yourself without having to look ahead and lose your place.

  • Can be minimized to a small circle that can be moved anywhere on screen and even docked on the mini-map.

  • When in minimized mode you can see the current step by mousing over it.

  • When a step is selected that involves a coordinate, that coordinate will be marked on your map and a waypoint arrow will appear instantly to point you in the right direction. No more manually setting waypoints through the map by clicking the dot.

  • Profiles will hold each characters place so you will not lose the step you're on when you log out. This is great if you don't play for a while so you won't forget where you were.

  • NPC names, Coordinates, and Quest Names will be color coded for easy spotting. EX: NPC's green, Quests blue. Still not sure how much will be coded or what color due to difficulty seeing some colors on the background.

  • And even more options to come...

You can discuss or request some features to be considered, on Brian's forum. Just use the following link to go to the thread:

http://www.spugnort.com/forums/yaf_postsm249_In-Game-Map-Mod-Discussion.aspx#249

Note that this new in-game mod will not me included in the free update for his normal 1-70 Leveling Guide, but be a completely separate product.

However, if you can't wait until it's released and need a leveling guide NOW!, I suggest you go with the in my opinion far best leveling guide out there as of today: The Team Idemise Leveling Guide.

If you want to read more before deciding which leveling guide suits you the most, take a look at this Excellent Wow leveling Guide Review site.

More Gold with Patch 2.3

At last the great 2.3 patch arrived not only giving giving us the wonderful stronghold of Zul'aman but also lots of quests and decrease in experience needed to level up between L20-60.

Add this feature to a leveling guide and You will be L70 in notime.

Furthermore patch 2.3 gives new opportunites in making more gold than before:

Enchanters - An existing enchant is now in high-demand...raise your prices accordingly! It used to be that Mages needed +Spirit gear to use during Evocation to get the most amount of mana back. 2.3 changed that to Int. So, the Enchant Weapon - Major Intellect (level 340, 2 Large Brilliant Shards, 10 Greater Planar Essences) will be in high demand. It drops from the Sunfury Researchers (.1% drop) in the Southeast corner of Netherstorm. Now is the time to gouge the market, while demand is peaked (tons of mages changing gear to Int Based). Happy selling!

As Blizzard changed the amount of experience awarded so that you can LEVEL FASTER. They don't want people taking forever to get to 60 any more (probably in prep for Wrath of the Lich King next year, which will raise the level cap to 80). Having more than one high-level toon is an EXCELLENT way to make fast gold. The bad news is that this makes most of the leveling guides that are available no longer accurate. The good news is that the incredible Brian Kopp's Guide is already updated and ready with 2.3 material.

New Cooking quests - There's a new daily cooking quest available from The Rokk in Lower City, Shattrath. The quest requires 3 Warp Burgers and a Kaliri Wing. The Kaliri Wing is a quest item (very easy to get). The quest reward is 9g, so, depending on what's going on with your server's economy, either SELL WARP BURGERS for people who want to do the quest quickly (without having to go farm Warp Meat) or buy the burgers yourself if you're a cook and it's cheap enough to turn around and make 9g. (I got the kaliri wing on my first kill...the birds in Skettis that knock you off your mount drop them.)

Brian Kopp's Alliance Guide

Review - Brian Kopp's Alliance Guide

Price: $35
Rating : 4,5 /5
Updates: Free for life
Money back Guarante: 100% 30 Days
Customer service: Very Good

This is a well written guide made for both beginners and hardcore players exclusively written for alliance players. While some guides expects you to already know how to play this one is very easy to follow for everyone. The author, Brian Kopp is a well known proffessional player who began his WoW career at early beta stage.

Key features:

  • Step-by-Step Guide with coords & maps
  • All L1-12 Starting areas included
  • Images of hard to find objects
  • Interactive ingame Map Coordinates
  • Always updated infomation
  • Top-notch customer support
  • 100% legal. You will NOT get banned
  • Instant Delivery
  • Overall Great Quality

What you get is a step-by-step detailed guide with maps, coordinates to quests, items and strategies for leveling up at ultra speed. It covers all starting areas L1-12 and are applyable to all the alliance races: Nightelves, Humans, Gnomes, Dwarves and Drenei.

The guide really proves that doing quests in the right order outperformes grinding by far when talking about leveling speed. Using Brian Kopps strategy it's really possible to level to 60 within 4-5 days and to L70 in a total of 8-10 days.

The last time I tried level a alliance char from 1-70 with this guide I did it on 9 days 13 hour 14 minutes. I'm sure it's possible to do it even faster if You put your mind it.

What I really think is the best feature about this guide is that it includes ingame waypoints. Very easy to install using a common mapmod. Then all you have to do is click on the next location in the guide and you will have a arrow guiding you to the exact location of the questgiver or item you need to find. Gone is the need to use thottbot when trying to find something. This is so easy to use and I can't tell you how much time this saves you. It's just awesome!

Using this guide is a fun way to get to L70. You get to experience and learn your char while leveling the fastest way possible. Paying loads of money for a powerleved char is just plain stupid in mine oppinion.

Brian is constantly updating his guide and when Wrath of the Lich King is comming I'm sure he will have a 1-80 guide out there.

Please Read more at Brian's own site before deciding to invest, in my eyes, the best guide available out there.
